During my time with the UC Berkeley English Department, I was the sole Marketing Manager & Graphic Designer on a small team. As the first creative hire, I was tasked with promoting all department events and activities in both digital and physical spaces. I worked with faculty and student stakeholders to design event posters, invitations, and branding for new programs and current course offerings. In order to engage a wider audience, I nurtured campaigns with supporting website and social media graphics.

Read Along with Berkeley English

I established the Read Along with Berkeley English during the height of the pandemic as a way to build and foster a community of likeminded readers and learners. Similar to a book-club, the program was aimed at UC Berkeley English Department alumni and friends to gather online via Zoom and discuss reading material on a monthly basis.

Challenges: Limited budget and time to launch. Constrained to online modes of communication.

Deliverables: Semester-long programming & schedule, webpage, web banners, brand identity, Facebook group creation, social media banners, email event reminders.
